About Bee Raft | Our Mission to Help Bees Drink Safely
Our Story
The Bee Raft was created to solve a problem we noticed in our own backyard. Bees need water – just like any other living creature – but birdbaths, fountains, ponds, and garden water sources can be deadly when there’s nowhere safe to land. Without a solid surface to grip, bees slip into the water, exhaust themselves trying to climb out, and drown.
It’s a small tragedy that happens thousands of times every spring and summer, in backyards everywhere. And it’s completely preventable.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: make it easier for people to support pollinators with a practical, decorative, and easy-to-use floating water platform.
We believe that small actions in our own yards add up. When you give bees a safe place to drink, you’re not just saving individual bees – you’re contributing to pollinator health in your community. And healthier pollinators mean healthier gardens, stronger food systems, and a more vibrant ecosystem.
What We Make
The Bee Raft is a decorative floating platform designed to give bees a safer place to land and drink from outdoor freshwater sources. Lightweight, durable, UV-resistant, and easy to use, the Lotus Flower Bee Raft requires no tools or installation. Simply place it on the water’s surface.
Our Bee Rafts are ideal for birdbaths, garden fountains, decorative ponds, buckets, barrels, and garden water bowls. Their attractive lotus flower design complements outdoor spaces while helping bees access water without falling in.
Why We’re Passionate About This
Pollinator decline is real. Bees face habitat loss, pesticides, and disease. But there’s something you can do right now, in your own space. Providing water is one of the simplest, most direct ways to support the bees in your neighborhood.
We started Bee Raft because we wanted to make that action easy, beautiful, and accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a gardener, a beekeeper, a pool owner, or someone who just wants to help – you can give bees what they need to thrive.
